Who Are the Indiana Lyons?
The Indiana Lyons are a professional minor league basketball team based in Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Founded in 2018, the Lyons are owned by Deborah and Tyrone Brown.
The Lyons currently play in the American Basketball Association (ABA), which is a reimagining of the original ABA that brought the Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, New York (now Brooklyn) Nets, and San Antonio Spurs to the NBA in 1976. Teams in the current ABA even play with a red, white and blue basketball.
We have a tradition of winning. We have recorded winning seasons and qualified for the ABA playoffs in every year of our existence. We are the 2022-23 ABA Champions, winning the league title on the 50th anniversary of the Indiana Pacers’ last ABA Championship.
We play our home games in the historic Bosstick Gym at Danville Town Hall, 49 N. Wayne Street in Danville, Indiana, and pride ourselves on providing an inexpensive, fast-paced, high-scoring, family-friendly environment at our games. Our seasons generally run from October into April each year.
Our game ticket prices have never changed. Tickets are available at the door for $10/person or $5 per child ages 6-12, seniors ages 55+, active military, military veterans, and first responders. Children ages 5 and under are always free. A nice array of concessions and merchandise are available for purchase at home games.
Our fans are affectionately known as The Lyons Pride — a term coined by veteran player Mike Carter.
