Red Division Championship Weekend: March 8-9, 2025
How it Works
The American Basketball Association (ABA) is comprised of more than 150 teams across North America and Japan. It is divided into four (4) regions: West, Central, East and South.
The Central Region is made up of dozens of teams across Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. It is divided into four (4) divisions: Red, White, Blue and Black.
The Red Division of the ABA Central Region is comprised of six (6) teams located in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. They are:
- Indiana Legends from New Castle, Indiana
- Indiana Lyons from Danville, Indiana
- Louisville Pros from Louisville, Kentucky
- Maysville Miners from Maysville, Kentucky
- Nashville Aces from Nashville, Tennessee
- Ohio Kings from Cincinnati, Ohio
Based on each team’s regular season performance, all six (6) teams are seeded by the ABA and placed in a single-elimination bracket to determine the Red Division Champion. The top two (2) seeds earn a bye until the Red Division Championship Weekend on March 8-9, 2025.
The Central Region Red Division Champion will then advance to the single-elimination ABA Central Region Championship Weekend on March 15-16, 2025, along with the champions of the White, Blue and Black Divisions.
The winner of the ABA Central Region Championship Weekend advances to the single-elimination ABA Championship Weekend in St. Louis, Missouri on April 4-6, 2025 as the Central Region Champion to tangle with the champions of the West, East and South Regions.
The winner of that tournament is the 2024-25 ABA Champion.
