Enjoy 232 acres of natural beauty at the park, and try your hand at some archery and at throwing an atlatl (an ancient hunting weapon), decorate a “stumpkin,” go on a scavenger hunt through the 52-acre cicada-themed McCloud Prairie Maze, enjoy a hay ride (for a nominal fee), operate an apple cider press, complete some crafts, do some shopping at the vendor booths, get a bite to eat from the food trucks, and more!
Admission to the park and to the Fall Colors Festival is FREE! Just bring a little cash for hay rides, vendors, and food.
While you’re there, visit the hay ride station and get you and your family some FREE tickets to the American Basketball Association (ABA) game between Hendricks County’s own Indiana Lyons and Midwest Falcons out of Chicago! These tickets are brought to you by Deka Lash in Plainfield Commons, and supplies are limited, so get to the festival early!
Come see the high-powered, high-scoring, family-friendly Indiana Lyons play against a region rival at Bosstick Gym inside Danville Town Hall at 49 N. Wayne Street in Danville. Doors open at 4 p.m., and tipoff is at 5 p.m. Enjoy some concessions while you’re there, get yourself some Indiana Lyons apparel, and enjoy an exciting evening of basketball that will leave you wanting to come back for more games!
Afterwards, stick around for a photo with the team at center court, meet and greet your favorite players, take a selfie with them, and get their autographs! Players include Danville Community High School alum Dillon Ware (#4) and Brownsburg High School alum Kendric Lee (#8) among many other very talented athletes. These Indiana Lyons won the ABA’s North Central Region last season and competed in the league’s Final Eight tournament in St. Louis!
