The ABA Champion Indiana Lyons have released their schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season in the American Basketball Association (ABA) as they adjust to the league’s realignment and settle in to the Red Division of the Central Region.
After four home preseason games in October, the Lyons open up the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 4 with a 5 p.m. tilt against the other ABA Champion, the Burning River Buckets, in the Lyons Den.
The Lyons and Buckets were set to play for the 2022-23 ABA Championship in Missouri in April, but eight EF0 tornadoes struck the area an hour before game time and damaged the gym. Without a backup plan in place, the ABA canceled the championship game and declared the Lyons and Buckets to be co-champions.
The lineups for both teams will look different, and the stakes won’t be nearly as high, but this is the matchup that fans of both teams have been waiting for!
Training camp for the Lyons begins in September and lasts throughout the month.
In total, the Lyons will play 14 regular season games at home and 10 on the road. Six of the away games are day trips, which will allow the Lyons Pride to travel and cheer for their team away from the Lyons Den.
Information about tickets will be coming shortly.
